HitmanPro.Alert Installation disables Norton Security Suite for Comcast

Installed Norton Internet SS for Comcast without any issues. Afterward, Installed  HitmanPro.Alert Ver. 3.6.5 on same PC. After installation of HitmanPro.Alert, having application error (app failed to initialize properly) Cannot start/open Norton. Not sure if files were corrupted caused by installation of HitmanPro.Alert.  Norton completely disabled. No disable function exists (on/off) in HitmanProAlert 3.6.5. 

Not sure which one of the two solutions will allow Norton and HitmanPro.Alert to work independently of one another :  (looking for solution, if neither recommended)

a.) Uninstall / Re-install Norton. If successful, open Norton SS and exclude HitmanPro.Alert      

Or

b.) Uninstall HitmanPro.Alert first.  Uninstall / Re-install Norton SS. Exclude HitmanPro in Norton. Re-install HitmanPro.Alert
