How can I add two different versions of one program to silent mode (plus firewall concern)?

I have a program called Womble MPEG Video Wizard.  I have had vesion 4 for awhile, and recently acquired version 5.  For reasons that aren't germane to this question, I need to have both versions installed for use at different times (which their support said is fine to do).

The path to version 4 is C:\Program Files\Womble Multimedia\MPEG Video Wizard DVD\MpegVideoWizard.exe,  and the path to version 5 is C:\Program Files\Womble Multimedia\MPEG Video Wizard DVD 5.0\MpegVideoWizard.exe.

I long ago added version 4 to Silent Mode, and today tried to add version 5 to Silent Mode.  But NIS gave me a message saying it is already in the list.  Apparently it refuses multiple entries with the same name, even when they're in different locatons  I thought that maybe this just meant NIS would go into Silent Mode any time I open either version of "MpegVideoWizard.exe" despite the differing paths.  But looking at history I see that's not the case.  Silent Mode activates only when I open version 4.

So how do I add both versions to Silent Mode?  I'd like to avaoid the complications inherent in renaming one of them.

On a related note, I checked the Firewall program rules and saw that it shows a rule for the new version (5.0) ONLY.  So does that mean that as I have continued to use version 4.0 frequently, the Firewall hasn't been protecting me?  The notion is frankly a little concerning.  Regardless, when I try to also add back the old version in Firewall by navigating to its path, it doesn't protest with "already exists" as Silent Mode does.  Instead, the Firewall asks me to select an option for internet access.  The three choices are "Manual Configure (recommended)," "Always Allow," and "Always Deny."  There's no "Automatic Rules" option, which is surprising because that's how the rules are typically created, " behind the scenes."  In fact, NIS documentation seems to discourage any manual tweaking in the Firewall.

Would appreciate any thoughts on either issue, with Silent Mode being the most immediate need but Firewall also a concern for the longterm.  NIS doesn't seem to be built to handle multiple programs with the same name (even in different paths), though I would think such a scenario would be reasonably common.

Windows XP-SP3 (soon to migrate to Windows 7). NIS 21.1.0.18.
