I'm running a freshly installed Windows 7 + NIS 2010, installed on a SSD. I didn't immediately remember to turn the Idle Time Optimizer off, so it started a check, which I interrupted. I then disabled it from the settings. Even so, now the Idle Time Optimizer will try to start if the idle time counter reaches 10 minutes.
According to the thread http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=nis_feedback&thread.id=81737 the optimizer wants to finish the optimization once it has started. As SSD's shouldn't be defragmented according to my understanding, I would rather find another solution. Anything easier than re-installing Norton altoghether?
