How can I get Norton Tech Support honor their promise to call back?

I opened a problem report and a tech in India worked on it for hours yesterday.  After he re-booted my desktop PC system a number of times it failed to completely come up.  I guess he was at the end of his work today, so he asked if he could call me back today.  I felt I had no choice.  My system was useless, so I re-booted to a previous good system restore point.  Now I cannot connect to the internet even though my PC can connect to my home network.  I can get to the internet using my notebook computer however.  After waiting for many hours today, I left for about 2 hours.  He called during this time and my wife asked him to call back in 2 - 3 hours.  I came home and waited all day, but he did not call.

How in the world can I get Norton Tech Support to followup on this problem and correct the damage they have done?

You can try to flush your DNS and resetting the winsock.

1. Click Start > Run, type  ipconfig /flushdns and click OK.

2. Click Start > Run, type  cmd and click OK.

3. in the command prompt, type the following and press Enter after each line:

netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt[Enter]
netsh winsock reset
[Enter]

exit [Enter]

Restart the computer and check the Internet connectivity. If the problem persists, check your connectivity by starting your computer in Safe mode with Networking.

1. Restart your computer.

2. As soon as the computer starts, tap the F8 key about once per second until you see the Windows Advanced Options menu.

3. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select Safe Mode with Networking, and then press Enter.

4. Click Yes to proceed to Safe mode.

5. Check whether you are able to connect.

Let us know the results.
