How can I Import Identity Safe Logins in NIS 2011

NIS 2011 - all updates as of 5/18/2011 - Windows XP SP3 - all updates as of 5/18 - I am unable to import the file with my previously exported logins.  I have one profile. I have deleted it and created a new one - the only option I get to import is to import from IE (running IE 8). Once the profile is created there is no option to import. "Under Settings - Web Settings -  Identity Safe" there is no option to import. There used to be an option to restore or import.

octoberjim - First off, I'd like to say welcome to the Community and I hope we can get your problem solved.  I am also running Windows XP-SP3 and Norton's NIS 2011-18.6.0.29.  If I understand your problem, you are having a problem restoring your old Identity Safe information.  When I looked in my "Web Settings/Identity Safe", at the bottom of that section, I had to scroll down a bit, I see a heading "Restore Identity Safe Data".  You don't have this heading?

Hi octoberjim,

Be aware that in order to see this option, you must first be logged into ID safe.

Also please check to see if you have the latest version of NIS 2011 (released only recently) which is 18.6.0.29. You can find this from Support > About.

Best wishes.

Hi octoberjim,

Could you please clarify if you are trying to restore a backup .npm file that you created using the Identity Safe Backup option, or if you are actually trying to import a file that you created by exporting your Identity Safe data as a .csv file.
