How can I scan external hard drive with Norton Security Suite (come with comcast)?

Dear all,

 

I have a laptop running windows 7.

I am using Norton Security Suite 5.

My concern is that I want to scan my external hard drive, but I can not see any thing that I can configure or customize for scan with NSS. There is only 3 options- Quick, Full and Custom scan.

But I can not find anywhere how to customize what I want to scan with NSS.

 

I have also tried another way to scan external hard drive (D:). I have manually tried to scan D: (HDD) with norton scan now option (Right click integration).

yes, NSS runs and seems that it is scanning D:, but with in seconds it completes scanning and shows result.

 

I dont think that it only takes seconds to scan my 640 GB hard drive.

 

I am confused because I dont know whats going on.

 

Please help me in this situation. And I am sure, I am not alone who is facing this problem.

sorry if i'm asking a crazy question; so your 640 gb hard drive is not empty right?
