How do I check if my firewall is blocking communication with my printer?

I asked a week ago and got no response. My computer is suddenly unable to communicate with my printer. I have checked all connections and everything is right. The printer still functions as a photocopyer only. The Lexmark troubleshooting guide suggests that my Norton 360 firewall is blocking communication. I have tried to fix it myself, but have been unable to find the setting. Please help, I need to use my printer!
