How do I completely disable Norton Internet Security?

Hello!

After a corrupted memory error, I had to fiddle about with my settings and as a result the paging file size was changed to the Windows minimum, which is too low for my requirements. Attempting to change the paging file to a larger size does not work - it stays at the 256 MB level no matter how many times I modify the settings.

At any rate, trawling through various support forums has lead me to discover that Norton products protect the paging file by stopping it from being modified in terms of size - I assume a virus of some sort could really make a hash of the system. I've never had any problems like this before, but this "functionality" is quite irritating as it is rendering some programs inoperable.

I've tried editing the registry to delete the paging file on shut down in the hopes this will coax Norton into allowing it to be reset to the specified size, but to no avail.

Turning off all the individual components (e.g. Computer -> Antivirus, Computer -> Antispyware, Internet -> Smart Firewall) does not work, so I'm looking for a way to completely turn off Norton Internet Security and all related programs. Is there a button I've foolishly missed? Is there a list of processes I can terminate in Windows Task Manager (I'm on XP)?

Thanks. :)
