I managed to get my on-line backup running again after a year off due a resinstall problem sorted here.
The problem is I had uploaded 4.7 Gb from my old set-up and now when I try to run Backup with my new file set, which is pretty much the old file set, I am told there usn't enough space. How can I get rid of the old stuff.
I'v renamed my computer following a factory reset and now I find i can't get rid of my old backup sets to free space for a new and there's no way I can find to delete them.
Will a technician please do it for me. Thank you.
Why doesNorton Backup need a Nobel Prize in Computer Science to understand it? Would it have been so diificult for the authors to have provides us with the standard dual windows drop and drag interface? I can hardly bear or be bothered with the hassle but I want and need automatic updating.
Will you please make this easier for us and will you PLEASE empty my current on -line space at your very earliest convenience as I ask.
You're using Norton 360 which requires purging of data sets via the installed PC client. The NOBU web will only allow the purging of data if you're using Norton Online Backup specifically.
The two articles below will show you a couple of different ways you can manage your backup sets. Either option you select though will take time to process since it has to delete the content from the server side as well as the history tied to the content you've selected for removal. Ensure not to close out any windows or cancel the job once you start it. Essentially set it and forget it till it completes. The second option is a drag and drop interface as well.
