How do I disable Pulse Updates in Norton 360 v.3?

Hello all,

Because of my slow Internet connection, leaving Norton's Automatic LiveUpdate feature on can be disruptive when it automatically checks for updates. This has never been a problem in the past because I always had the option to disable automatic updating in older Norton Antivirus software and I could do a manual update when it would not be disruptive.

However, although I have disabled LiveUpdate in Norton 360 v.3, the virus definitions are still being automatically updated, which often lags my connection. After doing some research, it appears that Norton 360 uses a feature called "Pulse Updates" which checks for updates every 10 - 15 minutes.

Since the Pulse Updates feature is probably what is causing my problem, can it be disabled? I've had no luck finding a way so far.

Thanks for any help!

You can disable pulse updates in Norton 360 v3. Here is how you can do it.

1. Click Settings.

2. Navigate to the AntiVirus link in the settings window.

3. Click on the Antispyware and Updates tab.

4. Under the updates section, you have an option to turn off the pulse updates.
