Norton Security alerted me and fixed a "misnamed application" and A Trojan Horse infection the latter requiring a reboot. On reboot, I only got the splash screen then black. Restarting produced the same. F8 to enable safe mode got me the screen to select safe mode but choosing does nothing. Norton "help" said to try safe mode with networking but this takes me to a screen with one exe and two dlls. I cannot select or do anything on this screen. I am (or was running) Windows XP Home edition.
