OK, so the quick way of saying this is that I’m trying to install “Norton Utilities Ultimate” that has the “Real-Time Boost” feature on an old PC I’m setting up as a server, but the installer I download for NUU on my subscriptions page keeps installing the new version (i believe) with the Dark theme that does not include RTB.
To further explain, on my subscription page, I have Norton 360 Deluxe Plus, and both Norton Utilities Ultimate and Norton Utilities listed.
NUU, like 360, is set to auto-renewal and shows the next renewal date, but NU just shows the sub is active, which iirc, is because it’s no longer under support and was replaced with NUU
Since Windows 7, well really since 98 lol, I’ve had Norton AV and U installed, which I believe evolved into 360 and Ultimate, though icr how it all went down. Regardless, I’ve ended up with 2 Norton Ultimate Utilities, but their GUIs and features are different, so I’ve ended up using both
As mentioned before, I have an “active” sub for Norton Utilities, so I tried downloading and installing it on my server rig, but it asks for an activation code. So, I pulled up the email I got years ago, but it fails to activate.
Either way, though, it didn’t appear to be the same GUI as the NUU with the RTB feature, so I’m just wondering how the hell I can get both NUUs I’m using on my current PC installed on my server rig since I’m only getting one download option from my subscriptions page. The only other thing worth noting in the screenshot is the older NUU that I’m trying to install has the version “21.4.7.637” in the title bar.
iirc, the left-side NUU is the “older” version and the right-side is the “newer” version.
And now that I’m thinking about it, I think this was called Norton Utilities Premium before it was changed to ultimate… tbh, i can’t remember lol, I just want to get both of these NUUs installed on my server
