I am not sure whether I consider this a problem as I am not very clear about technical computer terms. I am just a poor housewife with a computer but I recently purchase a NIS2009 CD and had it installed into my PC. The installation began with detecting that the is another Norton (trial) and it managed to remove it. Then it went to the normal process of installation. After that, the message of 'no internet connection' and contacting the administrator about 'Firewall and ISP popped up'. Somehow, I let it run and it continued to install and finally when it was done, the computer restarted. I clicked on the NIS icon and pop comes the main window.
My question is:
Am I doing it the right way. At the bottom of the main window it says '366 days of subsription'. I clicked on the 'subsribe now'. After that, it took me to another window where I have to key in my product code/key. By clicking this I am activating it right? But how come, when I keyed in everything. It says that I can't be activated?
I got frustated with it and did a complete shut down but before doing it I managed to create a Norton Account.

The next day, not giving up.... I decide to try and activate it again. This time, I managed to get in and keyed in the product code/key and it took me to a few windows and finally it said 'Done'.
I am puzzled? So have I activated it because there is no email from Symantec/Norton informing me that I have activated.
