How do I permanently disable the vpn option on Windows 11? Tired of it prompting me everytime I login on my home trusted network.

I did try support but their suggestion to uninstall and reinstall seemed pointless.

What is presented in the message suggesting the VPN use?

You may have trusted your home network in Norton 360, but does it have a complex, secure password for the network?

Yes I keep clicking on “trust the network” but it still keeps prompting each time i log back in.

But what is the message alongside the “trust the network” button?
A screenshot would help diagnose the issue. How to post screenshots in the NEW forums!

I shall post it when it next prompts…

Not sure what you mean by “secure password for the network”? It is a wired network…

I incorrectly assumed you were using a Wifi connection.

So I’ve found it is because of the wifi, as I have both connected. But has stopped bothering me.

I did select Trust network multiple times. We shall see…

I have exactly the same issue across multiple PCs.

It just doesn’t seem to accept that I may actually know what I’m doing…

Norton seems to have been considerably “dumbed down” and I now require to turn off many Settings to actually stop all of the random capabilities, rather than just Disabling Auto Protect and Firewall.

Slap a massive warning, to cover arses, but please make it simple for people who know what they are doing.

I also have exactly the same issue across multiple PCs.
It is so anoying to see all these warnings although I clicked “trust network” a thousand times.

So it has happened a couple of times since. It is unpredictable and quite random, I presume when my wifi tries to kick in, which it shouldn’t given I am wired. Will continue to see if I can find a pattern.

Happened again on the same machine after a reboot…

Are these forums actually monitored by Norton ?

This seems to have been raised 3 weeks ago without any employee responding ?
