I asked this before but can't find the thread, NIS continues to flag and block items in the Hiren's boot CD file which are'nt "real" threats. There is no option link for these items to be restored and excluded. Can they be? even with real time and Sonar turned off they get blocked.

"Nathan" is quite useless in this matter.
Have you tried excluding them from Autoprotect?
Steps seen below:
Click Settings.
The Computer tab on top will be selected by default.
Antivirus and SONAR exlusions will be selected by default on the left.
Click configure next to AUTOPROTECT
Select the file to be excluded and it will ignored by AUTOPROTECT from future detections.
even with real time and Sonar turned off they get blocked.
So this is not an Auto-Protect detection? What do you mean by "blocked" - are you talking about the firewall, Norton Product Tamper Protection, or something else? A screenshot might be helpful.
I have added them to the exclude but it won't work, they still are detected and blocked or removed, the Norton warning have put it both ways. I was trying to use the file by turning auto protect off, but that doesn't work. What I need to know is how to restore them. The old NIS had the option or restore and exclude from future scans.
Click on Quarintine and locate the entries that mention your deleted files. Then click on the entry. Somewhere it should say restore and exclude. You may have to click more details and do it from there.
I have this issue once in awhile. I actually created a folder and excluded it from future or auto-protect scans. So I can extract files to that excluded folder. Also I usually leave the false flagged items in that folder. So I only have one exclusion.
Edit - I forgot to add you can do this through History too. By clicking on the drop down arrow next to Show. Then selecting 'Resolved Security Risks'. Locating the entry you want to restore. Clicking on the entry and More Details or Options.
SGFC have tried this. The only option I have showing in anyplace in Options is "remove from History. Nothing is in Quarantine. I also have placed the names of the detected items in the Exclude from scans and Sonar detections too. They still are detected and removed with no Restore and Exclude option.
HI, no they only are under Resolved Risks. what I tried was to compress the .iso with Winrar and 7-Zip and it is till detected. In the shot it shows Deleted as the only option, which I did. Afterwards they are in Quarantine and I used the link near the bottom to restore them and a window opened saying they have been successfully restored. These shots were taken after a restore though so they are detected even after a restore.
One item had the option Restore and Exclude, these only Restore. Sorry I didn't get a shot of that one.
