I friend of mine recently lost her hard drive to a hardware failure. I thought I'm OK because I have Norton 360 and it backs up my hard drive to my home NAS.
I started thinking, "How would I restore my data if I had to replace my hard drive?"
In order to restore from a Norton 360 backup, to a new, fresh, hard drive, I would need to install Windows. Then I need to install Symantec/Norton 360, then I would need to do start the restore process. Am I correct?
I was wondering if there was some sort of "one-button" solution. Something like, "Double-click here to restore your PC". Then, after several hours, all of your files are magically restored on to your new hard drive. I know things in life are never that easy.
Thanks,
