Norton application window opens up after scans and live update. This is distracting when I’m watching movies. It’s entirely unnecessary for the application window to open after an update. How can I stop this from happening when I’m in full screen mode (watching movies, etc.)? I currently have all notification options turned off in the notifications settings, but this doesn’t stop the application window itself from opening after updates.

No, I haven’t, however, this would not be a reasonable solution if it does work. I have an HTPC connected to my receiver to watch Plex as well as to browse on my sofa. I’m constantly going into full screen mode at various times to watch Plex or a video on Youtube. I don’t want to have to go into the Norton app settings and tell the app not to bother me for a specific period or regularly on a daily basis. If this is the only option, then I guess I have not choice, but I would expect that in 2026, the app would be able to detect full screen mode in Windows and either know not to send notifications or that there would be an option to disable notifications in full screen mode.
Also, please note that it’s not a notification that is an issue. The notification pop ups are different and are turned off on the HTPC computer. The issue is the app itself opens and comes to the front of other windows after a live update.
FYI, I turned disabled notifications for 1 day and it still popped up immediately after a liveupdate. The only solution I can think of is to disable automatic updates and do them manually when I’m not watching a movie/video.
Just turned of renewal as well as there’s no chance I will continue to use the software after the subscription expires.

I’ve requested a refund - I’m going to go back to Bitdefender. The minor issue I had with Bitdefender is easier to live with than this.
I’ll scrub the payment information once the refund is issued.
I have also started to have this problem this past week. It always happens around the same time of day at about 10pm my time, during this time I am normally gaming, then all of a sudden out of nowhere the main Norton screen pops up, which is very distacting. Been using Norton 360 for a couple of years now, and have never had this problem before. Really hope it get fixed.
This week, I’ve been experiencing the same issue where the homepage pops up unexpectedly around 7 PM Asian time. I’ve tried using GPT and Gemini to troubleshoot the problem, but it persists and remains unresolved.
