How do I stop Norton fronm scanning backup jobs

Issue abstract: Norton 360 real-time scanning backup jobs

Detailed description: Although I have my backup drive excluded from real-time scanning, I see N360 is still very active during the backup jobs. How do I stop N360 from scanning the backup jobs w/o excluding the backup application?

And the “backup application” is not Norton 360 → Local backups?

Have you have added the “backup drive” to both “Antivirus” and “Scans” Exclusions…as test.

Have you added exclusions for the “backup drive” & the “backup application”…as test.

And the exclusion defaults are enabled?

Maybe, opt Don’t offer to scan external devices

Note: there is no “On/Off/Ask Me” switch for USBs in the v26.2 settings menu, the only way the UI knows how to “reset” that trigger is to wipe the configuration file—which currently requires a reinstall.
