How do I stop the "issues" from showing up that prompt me to buy Norton Utilities?

How do I get rid of what looks like a security issue at the bottom that is really just an attempt to upsell me to Norton Utilities. I also need to clear the cart which I managed to get stuck showing one item while trying to get rid of the “issue”.

I do not like that Norton shows this as something that looks like a security issue when it is just an attempt to sell me something and makes it harder to identify legitimate security issues I need to address.

In v24+, Norton doubled down on a completely unified, web-style dashboard. In this current version, what you are seeing isn’t just an ad box that can be closed; Norton Utilities and other companion products are hardcoded directly into the dashboard interface as “features.”

Norton refuses to hide these in the Store tab because they use a UI tactic called “forced discovery.” By permanently embedding tiles into your main dashboard, they attempt to make your paid software feel “incomplete” until you spend more money. Since it is literally baked into the application’s layout code for v24+, there is no option or button anywhere in the software to clean up the screen.

Norton explicitly designs it this way so that paying customers are permanently exposed to the pitch for their companion product, and it will remain on your dashboard as long as the software is installed.

I got the same popup the other day after I ran LiveUpdate. This particular popup is just letting you know that you have received new updates to your Norton product and that you need to restart your computer to complete the updates.
