It is annoying to constantly receive a marketing message from Norton while using Firefox suggesting my security is somehow at risk. "Enable All Norton Extensions". There is no way to ignore the message. I get it every week or so. I have no interest in 3 of the 4 extensions, but Norton continues to send this message. Is there a way to stop this Norton marketing inside my Firefox browser?
I did the screen grab in Safari to see if there were any caching issues. I get all four options in FireFox, as you noted. The message happens regularly, seemingly outside of updates. I will pay extra attention to see if the FF updates are driving this. Thanks!
Strange, just tried mine on Firefox 63, Four extensions shown - Norton Safe Search - Norton Home Page - Norton Safe Web - Norton Password Manager. Have you tried other browsers - should be the same for all supported browsers I believe. Safe Web & PWM are the only ones actually showing in FF Extension Add Ons - Edit - just cottoned on, your latest screen shot says extensions for SAFARI. Normally, going to the page shown in your original screen shot for Firefox, sets your preferences and does not ask anymore except perhaps after a version update
If you go to https://identitysafe.norton.com/client?, can you select only required extensions, close (saves) ?. This should show enabled/un-enabled extensions. Will this stop the message?
I really don't think that the message requesting me to "Add or Remind me later" (See Screen Shot 2018-12-01 at 11.15.45 AM.png which is attached above) is being generated by a bad software install. That there is NO option to turn off the message would have little to nothing to do with my current install. Looks like marketing gone awry. Norton has always produced incredibly invasive software. I stopped using it for over a decade for that very reason.
Thanks for the feedback. At some point there should appear to click do not ask me again and the issue would go away. On the machine with the issue, remove your Norton product using this article as a guide. When you have a good machine restart, log into your Norton account and download your product from there to reinstall. My thinking is something went amuck during your product install. Let us know if this suggestion helped.
There is only Add or Remind me later. (See Screen Shot 2018-12-01 at 11.15.45 AM.png which is attached above.) There is NO option to turn this notice off. I have the one extension - Norton Safe Web enabled. It is always checked when click Add (See Screen shot Screen Shot 2018-12-01 at 11.16.07 AM.png above) and go to the link. The other 3 are not. I do not want the other 3 add-ons. There is NO opting out of this constant marketing harassment that I can find.
The images I attached in the first post confirm the above statements.
