How do I turn off validation and id protection for a log in at a website?

The feature of validation (automatically generated random number passwords) for id protection is a nice feature.  I want to turn it off on a site (eBay).  How do I do this?  Could find nothing to help me.

Tried:  changing password; this did not work.  Tried deleting log in card and reentering it; this did not work.

Would appreciate a solution.

Thank you.

Where are you seeing this random password generator? AFAIK there is no feature in the Identity Safe module that does this.

Are you sure it is a random password being filled and not your saved password? The characters are masked so if someone is watching, they cannot see your password.

There is a password generator on the Identity Safe web site, but that does not fill in at any site.

Sorry I did not reply sooner.  I was attempting to get a screen capture.  Ended up with a partial screen capture (first image) of the first screen...this asks for the six digit security code.  The partial snip (second image) is a screen that appears very briefly that fills in the security code.  As you can see, it bears the Symantec id.

I look forward to your help.

The first image clearly shows it is from PayPal, not Norton.

Symantec Validation and ID Protection Service is a service that the site you are attempting to visit uses to block unauthorized access.  It requires two-factor authentication: In order to gain entry, you must enter your username, password and a security code that is sent to you each time you request access.  If the site requires this, and you are not enrolled, you will not be able to enter the site.  This is a security measure instituted by the website, and there is nothing you can do to disable it.

As Krusty says ...

That blue text takes me to eBay:

https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?LostOrForgottenToken

Does it mean you managed to use an eBay "token" as an activation key for your NIS ?

I will try the 800 number on the link you gave me.  thank you.

I ended up using Ebay tech support.  They disabled the Symantec VIP sign in.  Thank you for your ideas.

Glad to hear you were able to get this resolved.  Sounds like eBay had Symantec VIP deployed in more places than needed.
