I'm just a security maniac.
I just read a lot of av tests. I don't really believe them all by the way. Then I tested a lot of suites.
It must be light on resources, high detection rate and a good firewall with IDS
Hi userexperience,
yes I own licenses for Norton 360 (a gift from Symantec) and a license for NIS 2008. If I buy a license I first look for the price in our market. (I am an employee of a big german electronic company called "Saturn"). But I bought many software licenses like PGP 9.x, Acronis TI..... online. I mostly use Paypal to do that. I make my decision with trialware, so that can I have my own eyes on that what I want.

Hi user experience,
Yes I own security products, Norton 360 (beta license) active. NIS 2008 download version (inactive) and paid via secured payment (direct from your bank account - special program in The Netherlands)
For other programs, first if possible trial version and when ok I buy it (if possible on-line)
Programs which comes with the computer I remove them almost immediately to have only the programs I want to have...

i’ve been using norton stuff forever, it works perfectly well for me and i’ve never had any viruses. I don’t really care whether or not a certain 3rd party site (like pcamg, pcworld) says that one is better than another. As long as it keeps viruses out, that’s good enough for me. Besides, norton has the best support system of any other tech company i’ve had to deal with. I’m currently running Norton 360 in bootcamp, since I got it for free, and I’m very happy .
Hi Userexperience,
I've used Nortion Antivirus since the year 2000 and since 2004 the yearly new version from NAV. I never had any problems with virus infection on my machine and I'm very happy with Norton Products. Actually I use a Norton 360 V2 licence (a gift from your company) and a Norton Antivirus 2008 licence. I've bougth my software in Norton Store and in big stores when they have sometimes special offers. The decison today is easy I mean. Norton 360 is a very good poduct and the new version 2.0 is more improved then 1.0 and when someone asked my, which security product to buy, I suggest N360 because eveyone is in the internet and a lot of do online banking or online buying. So they need not only a good Anti Virus progam but rather the hole security from Norton 360 V2.
Best Regards,
Joachim
