I went into our Library and sent anything to do with Norton Antivirus to the Trash Bucket. However, there must still be files on our Mac because there is a what looks like a yellow/black circle in the upper right hand corner on our Mac toolbar. I would appreciate any assistance.
Hi Squidward
This is the process for windows but it’s probably the same for a mac. As you have put the Norton files in the trash bucket just run the NRT.
To uninstall any security software use the windows add/remove programme then run the removal tool for the specific version of the security software that is available from the security software’s main site, then restart the computer. This process should be done for each security software to be uninstalled, meaning one at a time.
You might like to backup you personal data before uninstalling Norton.
I don’t know if you have done a search on this site but you might to double check or wait a while to see if anyone confirms what is posted here.

1 - I assume you have already used the uninstaller in the symantec folder in your applications folder. If you have or have not, still do the following.
2 - go to www.norton.com/rmac
3 - this will download to your download folder a folder that says something like "remove symantec files."
4 - open the folder and double click on the program
5 - this will launch a program in Terminal
6 - it will ask you for your mac's password
7- choose the selection to remove all symantec files
8- After the program is finished, quit Terminal
9 - one last thing: Go to your utilities folder in applications and double click on "keychain access."
10 - select the symantec key keychain.
11- hit the delete key
12 - it will ask if you want to delete just the keychain or the keychain and related files.
13 - select keychain and related files.
Now everything symantec will be removed from your mac.
