How do you stop Norton intercepting any searches and sending them to Norton ‘Safesearch’?
All that results is a series of ‘sponsored’ results i.e. adverts.
I have tried disabling it but it seems as if I might have to completely remove Norton from my PC to get rid of it.

The only Norton extension is Password Manager.

Sorry, I’m trying to imagine how your search results call Norton Safe Search page sans Norton Safe Search or Norton Home Page installed/enabled.
Look in your Browser’s Settings and look for Search Engine. From there you can choose which search engine you wish to use.
