How Does NIS 2014 work? Do all results mean they are on your system?

I have NIS 2014 and Window 8.1 with Windows Live Mail.   I ran a full NIS scan which found 4 Trojan.Zeroacces!g46 high risk items from emails.   NIS 2014 quarantined them.   I didn't read these emails.  I did a right click and deleted them from my inbox and then again from my deleted folder.  Did the results of this scan still mean that they were on my hard drive?  They did not show when I ran Malwarebytes full scan.

Thanks.
