How long does Norton keep backup files?

I had Norton 360 in 2010 and then went overseas.  My computer crashed in 2011 and then the Norton account expired later that year.  I purchased Norton last week (August 2013) and loaded it to my computer but nothing was under my online account.

I noticed I could have renewed my old Norton 360 that has my old Product Serial Number in my online account (at a better price than I bought at the store.  If I buy that one with my old serial number would my old files still be there in the backup?  I certainly hope so as I lost a lot.  It was backing up fine before I left.

Hoping for some good news.

Thanks,

Shane

Hello

The short answer is 90-days from the date of expiry of the last storage package. You can find further details in a data retention sticky that I wrote on the Norton Online Backup forum.

Thanks for the answer.
