Hi I've been running Live Update for the first time after installing Norton 360 3.0. I have a dial up modem and XP Pro. Norton History doesn't show any installed updates. I have been running Live Update off and on for over 14 hours. Is this normal? How long does it take? or is something wrong?
History says 'unused port blocking has blocked communications. Inbound TCP connection". Is this anything to do with live update? Old Norton versions I have used told you how big the files were and approximately how long it was going to take. I did not expect over 14 hours. Suggestions?
Live Chat Tech guy only said it would take a long time.
I followed your link, downloaded the 'download manager'. I installed that, then Norton said to download Norton 360 version 4. I installed that and am now able to do the 'Live Update'.
and for anyone else with a similar problem- if you think you are doing a live update and don't see something like '264kb of 32 MB' downloading on the bottom half of the live update window, then you are not actually downloading anything. I thought it was odd that Norton would take that feature off! Well, Norton didn't.
