I was a bit too aggressive in excluding files from my default backup set, and now I can't figure out how to add the Outlook .PST file back into the set.
When I click on "Manage backups," and then click on the "What" tab, I can get a list of files that are included or excluded. Then if I check off the listing for the .PST file and tell N360 to add it to the backup set, I get a Windows Explorer-type window to select the file that I want.
The trouble is, since the Outlook .PST file is located under Users\[USERNAME]\AppData, I can't reach the file that way because as soon as I select [USERNAME] in that window, I am taken to the useless "library" listings of Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Music, etc. There seems to be no way to enter the path to reach the actual AppData folder that contains the .PST file.
So, how can I re-add my Outlook file to the default backup set??

I tried your idea, but N360 (version 4) showed only a few miscellaneous ".MSG" files that I didn't even know I had. The Outlook .PST file wasn't listed.
Thanks for suggesting it, though -- it sounded promising.
I have N360 version 3. In the backup settings under the 'what' tab, there is a 'Advanced' check box. Once you click this, you can see "edit file extensions" against all file types. Against email, click on "edit file extensions" and check if pst is in the list. If not play around with it and add it. There is also a "reset defaults" button in that window which might help. Note: This is with N360 version 3 and i m guessing something like this will be present in version 4 also.
YES! That was the problem!! By showing the hidden files and folders, I was able to go in through NOBU and select the .PST file for inclusion. For good measure, I also made sure that the settings for e-mail were correct, as N_sb_combatant suggested.
