How to backup c drive xamp htdocs to norton cloud

I'm trying to back up my c drive xamp htdocs folder to the norton cloud and I can't do it.

I go to Backup Settings > What > Click off the My Docs check box and all file types, then click c: drive > click add or exclude folders > exclude c:\program file\ etc. click include folder, include c:\xamp\htdocs and no matter if the xamp folder box is checked or unchecked the ok button stays gray. Also the right column of the included xamp folder says included but the Ok button is still gray.

Thanks

The first pic is your image that I posted openly so it is easier to use. The second image is my settings page showing how I have my backup set that I manually chose the folders I wish to backup.

So my suggestion is to turn off the Other file types and uncheck the C:\ drive to see if that will stop the other doc folder from getting backed up.

The first pic with just c: selected is the right one. The other with mydocs checked must have unloaded by mistake.

I think I uncheck other file types before and it didn't work but I'll check again and be back

The image you posted shows you have a check mark beside C:\. Try unchecking that and also turn off the Other File types and test.

Norton's cloud is saying Mydocs is uploading and that there's 1 or 2 gb (I've stopped it twice) on it from mydocs

Are you sure that those mydocs files are actually being backed up, or is the backup just displaying the folders on your system looking for files?

Just now mydocs folders were uploading, I do not have it selected as you can see above. That's the last thing I want. I just want the htdocs file uploaded automatically. If I have to do it manually I can use onedrive, it's a lot easier if I'm manually uploading.

As you can see the above c: is selected and yet I can't select htdocs and on the 2nd panel. check or uncheck okay stays gray. Yet Norton uploads both?

In short, I don't want to auto upload my docs only htdocs.

users settings for backup.jpg

My Backup settings. Note that I did not check C:\ , and do not have Other File Types turned on. I just added folders manually, as you tried already.

Yep I'm running as admin, okay I restarted and and went htdocs and it said something like ... more or less ... running backup can't change settings.

So it's 7gb and I'll give it while and come back and let you know where this stands. All I want is htdocs backed up so hopefully that's all it does.

No jpg screen shots?

Are you logged into your computer using a Windows admin user account?

Have you restarted your computer? Restart, not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.

I did and it gave me xamp\htdocs\ >right click norton 360 add to back up, clicked it tried both selections default and htdocs and ok still grayed out.

Now "add to back up" grayed out

Will it take a little while to go through to the norton workings?

Try opening Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder you wish to backup. Right click the folder and click on Norton 360 and then on Add to Backup.
