How to block Norton's in-app advertisments?

When I am using my computer, at random times I get notifications of a sale of some product from Norton. Dark web monitoring, VPN, computer clean up, whatever else they offer. How do I permanently block that? I just want the antivirus running in the background and block any potential threats. It’s crazy I’m paying for their subscription yet they continue to send me their own ads. I am switching to another brand once this thing is over…

Within your Norton account you can disable the settings shown below. Nothing marketing related can be disabled in the suite itself. The one setting that is “green” cannot be disabled, I believe it to be one of if not THE source for marketing notifications. Norton states they are “legally bound” to show certain information, I have already asked that question regarding this issue. Norton is not going to stop the marketing promotions regardless, regardless of its sources.

Hello:

I agree with your feelings. My Norton 360 Deluxe renewal has been just activated, but prior to that, I actually uninstalled the Norton software for the same reason as stated by “shd0w.2007. Next, “Bitdefender Security Plus Extended” software purchased and installed on my computer. In the end Bitdefender has its own set of customer and interface issues (unless one is an “IT” professional), uninstalled Bitdefender and reinstalled Norton. I rather put up with Norton’s heavy-handed marketing tactics and retain a high-quality security program. Please transmit this message to Noron’s corporate management department. I’m open to a telephone conversation. Thank you.
