How to delete files from online backup

Note: Please do not post Personally Identifiable Information like email address, personal phone number, physical home address, product key etc.

Issue abstract:My online backup is nearly full. I want to delete old versions of backed up files, but the new interface will let me only restore them, not delete them.

Detailed description:

Product & version number: Norton 360 for Windows 24.11.9615 (build 24.11.9615.889)

OS details: Windows 10

What is the error message you are seeing?

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:

Delete backup set from your account ›

  1. Sign in to your Norton account.
  2. My Protection tab → Cloud Backup
  3. To delete a backup set, click the trash icon of the backup set that you want to delete.
  4. In the Delete Backup Set confirmation window, click Delete

I do not want to delete a backup SET. I want to delete individual files that I select. I could do this in the older version.

Norton Backup Drive and other v22 Cloud Backup functions are not in v24.

So they “improved” the software by removing essential functionality that users relied on. Incredible! Time to look elsewhere.

Well, thank you for the link to that extensive review. Although it is for Norton AntiVirus Plus, almost all the features of Norton 360 are discussed. The extensive testing makes it clear that Norton is the very cream of the crop, closely matched by Bitdefender. I will mourn the loss of backup flexibility, but I will stick with Norton after all, though not without complaining that they had to completely change the interface. Ugh.
