Hi,
Need a little bit of help. Was helping a neighbor who has problems on his PC. He had some free antivirus software i.e.. the unpaid version of one of your competitors + Windows Defender running.
He recalls some message a week ago on the screen possibly by Windows Defender saying that his computer has a Trojan.
I looked at this pc yesterday and he could not run any exe files and for some reason Internet explorer is unable to open any antivirus web sites. We tried the trend online scanner but the site will not open. Microsoft windows updates will not also open.
Google opens ok and we can go to bbc.co.uk but no Antivirus vendor web sites or MS updates. We can’t run the free version of AV he has on his PC.
It seems like his PC is infected with something. He has not backed up his recent family photos either. So a bit scary.
- If he buys your product will it be able to disinfect his pc straight out of the box or does it need the latest updates first.
- How will he get the latest updates if his PC won’t even go to any AV vendor website.
- Can I get the latest updates on a file and email it to so he can access it via webmail.
- How does ur product disinfect existing viruses or Trojans on a pc when you first install it
- Does your product run in safe mode? (not sure if that will help stop and existing Trojan for activating itself)
Thanks,
BOB
