I recently received an update to a s/w product called Registry Defense from Xionix that I've used for almost 2 years. The latest product update for RegDefense was blocked by NIS claiming it was infected with Trojan.ADH.2. As a result of the first alert, not only was the update quarantined and deleted, but the original application was uninstalled from my system.
I've been in contact with Xionix and they responded that they contacted Microsoft who said it was a false positive trojan alert. I have contacted Symantec via email but have had no solution to this problem. I also tried (to no avail) to have NIS ignore the downloaded file but that did nit work...it was deleted (or quarantined).
Hoping someone on this formum can advise.
Thanks,
Joe
