Hi All,
I need some help on how to configure NIS2008/2009 for the following setup - the client has a small peer-to-peer workgroup network (non-domain) and a Qwest wireless router to the internet. The main machine on his network (Accounting) has NIS2008 installed. The owner wants people coming into his conference room to have wireless access to the Internet that is not blocked by NIS. Is this possible? Yesterday he had a wireless laptop client come in and it connected to his wireless with the key fine - but Internet access was blocked. We had to add the mac address of the laptop to the NIS network security map to let it get on the Internet. What scheme should I use so that NIS ignores these Internet only accesses that are temporary? Adding them to the network map each time is not a good option for the non-technical user.
Thanks for your help.
