How to get "My Norton" launch view back

When I installed "Norton 360 for gamers", I had the default launch view "My Norton".

I made the mistake and changed it to "classic view".

Now, I can't change it back to "My Norton" again. I can't find it anywhere from the settings.

It used to be on the button next to clock, I right clicked it and it gave me the option to open "My Norton", but no more. It is gone from the list.

Also I checked every possible setting within the program itself, and found no option like that.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Now, we need to figure out what Norton means:
Switch to the classic view is not available on Norton 360 for Gamers.

Switch between the My Norton window and classic view

Switch to the classic view is not available on Norton 360 for Gamers.

As requested, here is how my tray button looks after reinstall:

And now it changed that "More Norton" to "My Norton":

Clicking that: Before reinstall it opened a page with 4 different options. Now it just opens "My Norton" default view which allows me to turn on VPN etc.

It seems like a different product after reinstall !  I just can't understand why is there such a difference between installation #1 and #2 ?

Weird.

I installed it exactly the same way both times, logged in to my Norton page, and added it to this device. Double clicked on the installer it gave me there. That's it.

Edit: Now I even have "Launch view" selector on my "settings" page !  Before reinstall it was not there.

Curious, when I call my Norton 360 Classic UI v22.22.8.13
I'll briefly see "More Norton".... then "My Norton".

Melvin Frohike:
Also, if I click "More Norton", it opens a page with 4 options: "Password Manager", "Add devices", "Family" and "Manage".

EDIT: Reinstalled and all is well. Now I also have the option to open "My Norton" on my taskbar menu.

So, your Norton 360 for Gamers has "More Norton" tile ... not "My Norton" tile?

Please post screen snip of your Norton 360 for Gamers - "More Norton" view & your Norton 360 for Gamers tray button.

Thanks

Took me a while to be able to reply.

Yes. "Open Norton 360 for Gamers" from tray button opens this:

Also, if I click "More Norton", it opens a page with 4 options: "Password Manager", "Add devices", "Family" and "Manage".

If I click "Manage", absolutely nothing happens. So I don't know what's the deal with that.

I will just reinstall it now, after this message. So the matter is no longer "relevant". I will remember not to switch the view anymore, so hopefully there won't be problems anymore.

Thank you for trying to help me with this, much appreciated.  :)

EDIT: Reinstalled and all is well. Now I also have the option to open "My Norton" on my taskbar menu.

@Melvin Frohike
I'm imagining Open Norton 360 for Gamers from tray button calls ->
Correct me?

from PC Mag review:

Once you’ve installed Norton 360 for Gamers, you’ll find that it’s almost indistinguishable from Norton 360 Deluxe. You have the same My Norton app that manages device security, dark web monitoring, VPN, backup, passwords, and parental control. Device security on Windows looks just the same, except that the window title says Norton 360 for Gamers.

I'm imagining My Norton tile calls My Norton view.
Correct me?

Melvin Frohike:

It is OK, I thought this would be an "easy fix" but it isn't. I'll just reinstall it and remember not to switch it in the future :)

I'm trying to learn from Chat Support how Norton 360 for Gamers may switch between My Norton & Classic views.

Edit:

Well, I went 10 rounds with Norton Chat Support and got nowhere.
Chat Support wants access to the device with Norton 360 for Gamers and then Chat session abruptly ended.
Sorry..................

Sorry for asking again.

So, Open Norton 360 for Gamers calls Classic Settings?

==================================

FWIW ~ I'm in Chat Session now.

Please post back if you figure out how to switch between views.

Oh Wow......

  • first time seeing Norton 360 for Gamers tray button.
  • first time seeing Norton 360 for Gamers Classic Settings.

We'll need Norton 360 for Gamers user to chime in.

No, it does not have settings.

This is all I see

Does your Norton 360 for Gamers tray button have Settings ?

Settings from tray button calls My Norton Settings

and did your Norton 360 for Gamers tray button ever have Open My Norton?

To be honest I can't  remember. Because I switched to classic view pretty early after installing it originally.

I will try to reinstall it.

Not a big deal actually, was just originally wondering if I can fix it without that.

Pretty odd, though. That I need to reinstall it for this, seems like a product bug. Some Norton developer could check it out - wink wink :)

Did that, no change.
