I have been a Norton/Symantec client for over 20 years. Over the past two years, however, the constant nag screens promoting additional products have made the software effectively unusable. These messages are alarming to my older users (my parents) and irritating to everyone else.
I am prepared to change vendors if I cannot get this behavior to stop. Disabling “Promotional Notifications” and other non-critical alerts does not meaningfully reduce the volume of these messages.
What product tier—and at what cost—is required to completely eliminate these promotional prompts?
If there is no such option, I will be switching vendors.
