How to get the Norton logo to show on Task bar

Hi all,

Following on from my successful removal of NIS 2008 and now install of NIS 2010, I want to know how you get the NIS logo to appear on the desktop bar / taskbar.

It is on the bar in the very right hand bottom corner, showing a norton circle with a tick on it, but with NIS 2008, it would show as a  box type thing, next / apart from all the others on the darker coloured area of the task bar (Where things like browsers, MS Word are open)

My question is, can i get the NIS 2010 logo to appear where the NIS 2008 appeared?

Hi soccer255,

If you can only see the yellow Norton icon with the green checkmark in your system tray - then that's the only icon you're going to see. There is no other/second Norton logo (with the black web design) as in the older versions.

Oh okay, thanks for that, thought there may have been away to change it's position.

No, you can't.  It used to be a choice where it appeared.

Now, the icon in the Notification Area does the same job as the larger icon on the taskbar.  When you need to do something, it will show an exclamation point; when everything is cool, you will see a checkmark.
