Hi,
I have turned off outbound email scanning, because I am software developer and unfortunately Norton's outbound email scanning blocks succesful sending of emails from software that I write that needs to send emails directly from the software and not from an email client like Outlook. This has been a problem with Norton for years, probably for ever, but I always was able to just turn off outbound email scanning and then "ignore" the warning Norton gives me about it being turned off.
But I now installed Norton 360 version 4.1 yesterday and although I can still turn off outbound email scanning, the only thing that I seem to be able to do with the "Attention" this is generating is "Fix" it, which turns email scanning back on. As this means I cannot do my job anymore, my only choice is to turn outbound email scanning back off, but this then leaves me with Norton being in a constant state of "Attention" which is rather annoying, as it means I don't see real issues anymore.
I run Norton 360 version 4.1.0.32 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
So my question is: How can I make this not being a point of "Attention" anymore, while still leaving Outbound Email scanning turned off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Gerard
