Hi, I am in China and have no access to Google Play. How do I securely install the new version? There used to be a side-channel download link, but it’s no where to be seen now. Thanks in advance.

It’s sad that such restrictions exist. I think the restrictions on encryption is now obsolete but I didn’t expect restrictions on this. I can only move to another vendor. Thank you.
I have asked my Norton contacts about this. There are export rules and laws from the US which restrict what can be distributed and where. China is not alone in not having the NMS available. There are quite a few areas of the world where it is not available because of these export restrictions.
But couldn't there be an official download link? There used to be one and I don't know why it is not provided anymore. It's not perfect, but it's definitely better than downloading it from a 3rd party source. I hope Symantec would make one available. And if there are dependencies on Google Play service, maybe Symantec could make a special version.
Norton mobile products are only officially distributed through the Google Play Store. Any other download sites that may have the apps may or may not be safe. Norton would not be able to support any side loaded app. Use at your own risk.
