How to keep Norton Utilities Ultimate from deleting my saved scanner profiles?

Issue abstract :Norton Utilities Ultimate deletes my saved Windows scanner profiles whenever I run Auto Clean.

Detailed description: Using the “Windows Fax and Scan” app that comes with Windows 11, it allows you to save profiles for various type of scans–color docs, flatbed scans, document feeder scans, etc. These are saved in C:%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\UserScanProfiles as HTML files that begin with “SCANPROFILE”. If you have multiple saved profiles, they get saved with a number after the name, e.g. “SCANPROFILE(1).HTML”. Unfortunately, these get deleted by Norton Utilities Ultimate as part of the cleanup process, and I have not found a setting in NUU by which to exclude them. Please assist!

What is the error message you are seeing? No error message; NUU just deletes files that I do not want it to delete!

From the Norton Utilities Ultimate, NUU, screen click on the Clean Junk icon on the left, then in the System Junk tab scroll down to the Program cache files and Program temp files. Check each of those by clicking on the right arrow on the right side. Then scroll down the list of cache files until you find ones for your scanner. If you find it, click the blue box beside that to remove the checkmark. Clicking Got it at the bottom will now no longer clean those files.
