How to make Norton not automatically delete every perceived threat?

I play many video games trhough fan translation patches(generally Japanes->English/Chinese) which are considered trojans by Norton. I know how to exclude them if they're already on the computer, but that doesn't help when Norton just delete them right after downloading. I don't want to have to turn off Norton in advancment of any download of such files. So can Norton at least ask me before they remove it? Or quarantine it so I can restore it?

 

It's kind of annoying that "fake" viruses are just removed, while real ones I've gotten over the years tend to be quarantined because they can't remove them outright.

if it is a SONAR detection, you can change the settings this way:

1. Open the Norton product

2. Click on Settings

3. Go to Computer -> Real Time Protection

4. Find Remove Risks Automatically on the list

5. Set it to Ask Me

6. Save Settings

 

This way for SONAR detections the product will first ask you what to do. :)
