Hello,
Just wated to drop in and ask a simple question. If I have an application that I regularly download updates for and I my Norton Security Suite (from Comcast, v4.1.0.32) is incorrectly tagging it as a threat, how do I go about telling Norton that you guys have this file marked as a threat incorrectly? This is happening to me with a Blackberry OS Hybrid download that I get from Driphter.com regularly.
Today I went to download the Willyboy v4.4 Hybrid for the Blackberry Bold 9000 and Norton actually deleted the file every time I tried to download it. This file is NOT infected with "WS.Reputation.1", but your scanner seems to think it is. The only way I was able to get the latest Hybrid for my Blackberry was to disable my Virus Protection while I was downloading the file again. Most annoying!!
Overall, I like this product pretty well, but I can't stand it when a piece of software thinks it is smarter than me and starts doing things against my wishes, like deleting the files I'm trying to download, just because it is doing it "for my own good". You guys really should consider adding some kind of "expert mode" where it asks you before it just starts deleting stuff your specifically trying to download. Not every user is non-savvy and needs you to protect them from themselves.
That issue aside, how do I go about notifying you guys when these false positives occur?
Thanks!
