Windows 11. Norton360
When restarting the laptop…
Norton starts a firewall process and a VPN process. I do NOT need these processes running. I then have to manually stop the processes with the Windows Taskmanager.
How do I just prevent these processes from starting when the laptop restarts?
You can disable the Norton VPN service in Windows services. Set it to stopped and the startup type disabled. The firewall can be disabled permanently from the system tray right click menu.

Tx. I was able to stop the VPN from automatically restarting.
The Firewall will not behave the same. When I set to Disable and Apply, I receive an error: Access is denied.
Any thoughts?
Are you logged in as Administrator? The menu, RIGHT mouse click in the Norton icon in the system tray should list disable permanently.

Tx Again. I am logged on to laptop with Administrator value.
I then R-Click Norton Tray Icon> Settings> Settings (Left Navbar)> Smart Firewall
It shows Smart Firewall = Disabled.
However when view processes in Task Manager… the Norton Firewall Service is running, no CPU usage, using Memory and Startup Type = Automatic.
Still scratching my head.
