I HATE that Norton Utilities decides on its own to remove cookies that I want but in the past I was able to earmark certain cookies to prevent their removal. That doesn't seem to be the case with the only Norton Utilities that works with Windows 8, namely NU 16. How can one prevent NU 16 from removing desirable cookies?

Thank you very much
Oops - not entirely solved. It seems that there is no way to selectively remove most cookies while retaining only those I want. It seems to be an either/or situation - either one removes all the cookies or one retains all the cookies. Am I missing something here?

After much hair-pulling and frustration, I discovered on my own the solution for how to retain wanted cookies while getting rid of the unwanted ones. Here it is, step-by-step:
- On the startup screen - select "Privacy".
- Under "Select your action" - select "Clear Your Browsing History"
- "Browsers" from the left-hand side should be automatically selected. In the box, the browsers you use should show in black; non-used browsers are greyed out
- A blue line entitled "Select which Cookies you want to retain" will show below the "Browsers" box and above the three orange buttons. Select that line.
- A pop-up box will appear with all your cookies displayed. Choose the ones you want to retain.
