We have a portable disk drive with the backup image (a v2i file) of the system we need to recover but we are not sure how to start the recovery process. My pass experience with Ghost images (Ghost version 9) was that the backup disk had enough Ghost software on it to do the recovery. All a person had to do was boot the system from the disk and the whole system would be reimaged. This backup disk appears to be different, how can we tell if there is Ghost software on this backup disk? If there isn’t a Ghost product on this backup disk what do we need to restore the whole computer from this v2i file? I was not involved with making the backup disk so I am not sure what software was used to create it.
The install disc should be bootable. If you cannot find it, you can try the Ghost 15 SRD.
