How to reinstall existing subscription after Windows 7 upgrade

Hi

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and when I log into my Norton account it only gives me the option to buy new key to install Norton Anti-Virus.  I'm reinstalling the same product on the same computer and am wondering how I allow my existing subscription to continue rather than buy new?

Thanks

You have posted in the beta forum. Did you intend to? Are you using NAV beta?

When you go to mynorton account do you see your current unexpired registration?

Excluding the product key what actual information is displayed against the current unexpired registration?

Depending on the product name shown in your Norton Account, use one of the following links and download your Norton product:

For Norton AntiVirus: http://www.norton.com/nav10

For Norton Internet Security: http://www.norton.com/nis10

After installation, use the Product Key from your Norton Account for activation.

Does this help: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&selected_nav=3&pvid=nav_2010&docurl=20080514162318EN it's a list of all 2010 downloads, if 2010 isn't your av software year then go here to choose your product: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/dtree_installation.jsp?selected_nav=3&id=installation&pvid=cs

Afterwards just input your current subscription key when asked for.

Hth,

Hello TomA

If you have a current subscription for Nav and have upgraded to Win 7, you now have to use NAV 2010 or NIS 2010. What did you have installed before you went to Win 7? The problem you may be seeing now is if you didn't uninstall your Norton product from your computer before you went to Win 7, your activations may be gone.

I would suggest you download the Norton product that you have an active subscription for and install that. I would suggest that you call customer support and explain to them that you just upgraded to Win 7, but you didn't uninstall your product before you did that. Customer support is the dept that can straighten out key problems and activations and problems like that. Here is how you can contact customer support for free via the chat program. Please have the name of your product handy and you active key and they should adjust the activations for you.
