I use Ghost 15 on my Windows 7 system, and recently added a NAS (Drobo) to my network to replace the aging Buffalo. I noticed after moving my previous backups via Ghost 15 to the NAS and changed my back job to use it I had the same problem mentioned in "Ghost 15 -Removing Old Recovery Destination Drives"
http://community.norton.com/t5/Other-Norton-Products/Ghost-15-Removing-Old-Recovery-Destination-Drives/m-p/230923#M22781
"How do I remove this old drive from this list and make it the default backup drive on the Home screen?"
The solution that was provided "uninstall and reinstall" is just not acceptable to me. I found a solution which did not require an file changes or installation. Amazingly the product does allow you to change it, and why didn't support find it.. who know.. I suppose it's just the "norton" way.
Here is what I did to fix the problem:
- Right Click on the Norton Ghost icon in your system tray.
- From the menu that appears select "options"
- You will now see the "General" screen and in the middle of it there is "Default backup destination"
- Select the Browse button, and go to where you want the "Default backup destination" to be.
Save it and tadah you are done!
I do hope this helps!
