How to remove the [norton antispam] message in front of my mail

I do not know what happened, I'm null in all this security things. Norton is sending my emails and domains as ebay to the junk folder. They are in the allow list and still is sent over the junk with the message in the brackets. I just register to this forum and the same norton message was sent to the junk folder. I installed internet security in march, I do have automatic updates..not sure what happen. Please help

Thanks for answering me back. I have been using norton for the last 5 years or more and is first time that something like this happens.

The problem is: that I do receive d that message in all the junk mail, but all the mail is filtering to the junk folder.Even those that are supposed to be in the allow list. All my regular contacts all of a sudden are send to the junk mail . I do work in outlook, so I click "no junk" ,send to norton for futher analysis and so on and still coming to the junk mail. I have been manually moving them to the inbox and all of them first lines are [norton antisam]/...+ SUBJECT.

I have no idea why the setting changed, and why the allow list in not responding

Hi lenyzu,

Welcome to the Norton Community.

Can you clarify so we can be sure. Is Norton Antispam prepended on the subject line of all messages which are moved to the Junk email folder in Outlook?

Which Norton product do you have and what is the version? You can find the version from Support > About. Also what version of Windows and SP (service pack) do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?

What version of Outlook do you have? 2007 ,2010, etc and the version from Help > About. Again to clarify, can you go to Outlook and click on Tools > Options. Then from the Preferences tab, click on Junk Email and ensure the box is checked which says No Automatic Filtering. Note that this option says that anything in the Blocked list will still be moved to the Junk email folder.

Then click on the Blocked Senders tab and see what email addresses are included in that list. You can highlight any or all entries there and click on Remove.

What happens if you send yourself a test email? Does this also go to the Junk Email folder? If so, does it also have Norton Antispam in the subject line?

If this all looks good then please go to NIS and click on Settings > Network Settings. Turn OFF Antispam and save changes. Try a couple of test emails. Do they still go to Junk Email folder?

Turn Antispam back ON and check again.

If problem still present, click on Client Integration still in Network Settings. Uncheck Outlook in both sections, save changes and exit back out. Go back to Client Integration and reenable the checkboxes for Outlook. Save and exit. Now close down and reopen Outlook. Does the problem still occur?

Finally, again from Network Settings click on Blocked List and just ensure that you did not end up with unwanted entries in that list.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Allen
