How to Report False Positives to Norton

Hello, I would like to know to which email address I can send false positives to Norton so that the issue can be resolved. I am aware of the online form here:

https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/

but would like to know to which email address I could alternatively send the sample so that the issue could be resolved. Is this possible?

Thanks.

I am writing an article in which I am showing users where they can submit malware and false positives. Thus I need to make sure that the options I suggest will work for everyone, not just those who are also registered in this forum.

So is what you're saying that the only way to submit false positives is through the online form. There is no email address available for submitting false positives.

Is that correct?

Thanks.

Bump.

Hi Chiron,

These are the two official reporting sites at Symantec Security Response:

Submit Virus Samples

Report a Suspected Erroneous Detection (False Positive)

They are not tied to the Norton Forums.

That is correct - there is no email address where these things can be submitted. The sites listed are protected so that the submissions do not infect the balance of the system. Your false positive may be a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I know you wouldn't do this but there are those who would brag about being to shut down even a small part of a security company or their protection network. Please use the routes listed so that we can all benefit from the process.

Stay well and surf safe

Thank you very much.
