When I hit Fix Now there is another screen that pops up that has Fix Now as a header and a yellow bar that says Fixing. Below that are two words Item (underneath that it says Backup) and Status (under that it says Processing...).
There is another screen that also pops up that says Run Backup Underneath that it says "Backup of your files and folders has failed." Beneath that are Backup Set ("backup-DefaultSet" underneath) and Status ("Error" underneath)
I've verified that Auto-Protect, Firewall, and Sonar are turned on. When the Device Security button is clicked on My Norton the perimeter of the circle surrounding the icon fills in about 3/4 of the way and it says Fixing... underneath Device Security and that is where it stays. I attempted this same procedure this afternoon and it didn't proceed any further. In your e-mail message to me you mentioned that other potential reasons for this message are not enough cloud storage space, the definitions are not up to date or routine scan has not completed. I ran the quick scan but am not sure how to determine if the definitions are updated. Additoinally I haven't seen anything about cloud storage space. I don't know where to look for the messages you indicated should appear. They don't appear on my screen.
When I put my cursor on device security a message pops up stating that there is a fix in progress. This has happened before, but nothing happens. Please help me.
The appearance of this message may not be due to any threats. Your Norton protection can display this message if:
Not enough cloud storage space
One or more of the security features like Auto-Protect, Firewall, or SONAR are turned off.
The definitions are not up-to-date or routine scan has not completed
When you see this alert on the product, click Fix Now.
If Norton cannot fix the problem with the feature, or cannot run LiveUpdate or a scan, you may see a different error in the Fix Now window. Select one of the following:
I have problems with Secure Cloud Storage space
Your Norton product subscription comes with an allotment of Secure Cloud Storage space. When your Norton product performs a cloud backup, it calculates the amount of space that it needs for the backup.

If your cloud storage does not contain sufficient space for the backup, your Norton product notifies you. You can either choose to buy more storage space or remove the previously backed up files and free up some space.

Hello, I've attempted the fix and I don't think that it worked. I restarted the computer. I made sure to sign in through my Norton 360 icon. I do have Windows 10 on my system, so I followed the instructions in the link you shared (the thing the instructions speak about was turned on, so I turned it off). After following the instructions I restarted my computer again. I accessed Norton 360 again and Device Security indicated that my compuer was at risk. This time I was able to hit Fix Now and it started to fix it. It took a long time, but ultimately it stopped without completing the process. Similarly, Cloud Backup stated that My Data Is at Risk. I hit Fix Now and a small Run Backup screen pops up that states Backup of your files and folders has failed. Below that are headings Backup Set and Status. Under Backup Set it states Backup-DefaultSet and underneath Status there is white X in a red square beside the word Error.
Any advise on how to address this? Thank you all for your help!
Are you signed into your Norton Account from within your 360 product? That is required to access the online Backup storage.
Have you restarted your computer? Not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here. A restart is required to complete many issue resolutions noted by your 360.
